This page is dedicated to election reform by citizens in the great state of Ohio. Gail leaves with Tillie Botz and Dan Ashby on Friday January 28. They are going to Ohio to help coordinate the efforts of those who are working on issues of voter intimidation, disenfranchisement, possible fraud and electronic voting machine malfunction. There has been a dedicated group working tirelessly since the November election. The work is hard and never ending. Gail is working to co-ordinate the efforts of all parties working on all projects both past and present.

It is wrong to assume that because George Bush has been confirmed as President, there is no work to be done. Quite to the contrary, it means that there is more reason than ever before to take action on reform.

The fact that Ohio election officials were allowed to shut out all observers while counting votes, is reason enough to get involved. Warren County claimed that there was a terrorist alert that demanded the blackout of the election office. When asked, no government agency would admit to calling the alert. The FBI denied any involvement in the incident. Despite the hundreds if not thousands of complaints, the contest of the election in Ohio was denied. This is a sad entry into our history books. First we have the election of 2000 in Florida where the Supreme Court stopped the recount illegally, and now we have Ohio with all of its irregularities. Are we going to sleep until it is too late to reclaim our Democracy?
